 The CHI is the best!I've been using hair irons for over 10 years and the CHI has been the best yet! It strightens my hair like none other and protects it from frizzing under humidity. Lots of people have been writing about their iron not working for very long, but like everything else, nice costly things have to be taken care of. I've had my CHI for about 2 years, and with much care, it still looks and works like NEW. Awesome product! the best ive ever had, and i've used a millioni dont write reviews, unless it is the best ive eaten, used, bought, or whatever. i have long hair and this thing worked for me. had my baby chi for 4 years, but it stopped working and dont know where to take it. that is the only thing Had it for almost 4 years and it still works!I bought my CHI flat iron in January 2005 and it’s almost it’s 4 year anniversary with me – IT STILL WORKS GREAT!!!! $130 is truly a great investment. I travel a lot and my Chi is with me all the time and never fails.  WORDPROCESSORI HAVE TWO CHI FLAT IRONS AND THEY BOTH BROKE FROM THE OFF/ON SWITCH. THERE GOES $200.00. IT WOULD BE NICE TO GET REFUNDED!!!! HELP  Already broken!It was great when it worked! I qot my hot pink JC PENNEYS flat iron for $150 for my fifteenth birthday on the 23th of NOVEMBER and two days aqo I pluqqed it in and it just sat there! and now i see it was an ELECTRICAL PROBLEM! this sucks because my sister in law has one and its lasted her well over a couple months! While it worked it was GREAT and AMAZING but it doesn't L A S T! always breakingI have had 4 Chi irons and they do work great when they work. However they short out easily or the ceramic plates come loose. Returning for repair is difficult - manufacturer doesn't return e-mails and trying to secure a repair number on the web site has also been fruitless - they ask for a number on the iron which mine doesn't have - even though purchased from reputable sources. If you buy one just know that one may last a couple months, another a couple of years. You just don't know. its so goodive had my chi for 4 years and it just stopped working...i mean it was about time i had dropped it and left it on all the time im suprised it lasted this long.but the chi straighteners are the best Chiit really mkes my hair soft and dosent dry the little hair i have!! Lifetime Warrantythis is the best straightener by far. and for all of you having trouble...if it came in a box, and it wasn't used when you got it, then send it back because it has a lifetime warranty on it. they will either repair it or send you a brand new one. good luck CHI Ceramic Flat Iron, OriginalThis is THE best flat iron I have used. I'm a stylist in Las Vegas. I've tried many flat irons, but the CHI makes hair the most silky and shiny! The only problem I have is that I have to replace more often than I should because the cord connection shorts out. Its awesome!OMG! This product is awesome! Truly you should get one, It can curl, flip, bend, spiral, and starighten all in one product! Its a great buy... they keep dyingAlthough they work great for a while, my 3rd one just died after 8 months. I don't even use it daily but they keep dying on me....  yea its great but...yea i have course spiral curly hair and it does it in 30 min instead of an hour!
Chi Flat IronI have had my Original Chi Flat Iron for 7 years. Its a great product. You are not suppose to wrap the cord around the flat iron. That will cause your flat iron to stop working. Best of luck with yours. StraightasticI'm a hair stylist at JCPenny and our whole salon uses the Chi iron. The best thiing about is that it ceremic all the way through; the heat and the plate it self. I've been having mine for three years and have had no problems. You can imgine how I use it on all of my clients with different texture hair. One problem that I have found is it can burn your hair out if it's thin, already straight, in your front hair line. The key to not burning your hair out is to use larger sections to prevent the hair from scorching. I recommend if you have any of these problems to buy one of the Chi flat iron that has a temperture setting. All use some kind of thermal protector like the silk infusion, thermal protecting spray, or any other product that states it is a thermal protector this means any kind og heat like blow drying. Fixing to get oneHey! It is almost my birthday and I am begging my Mom for a CHI. She is getting me one I think and I can't wait. My friend has one and they work great. They are worth the money!!!  why dose it burn your hair ??i just found out why my chi was burn my hair ITS METAL. you know how when you buy the chi on the box its says that its ceremic(spell) well its not if you take a key and scratch off the paint on the part where you straighten your hair you will see that it metal so my advice is that you dont buy a chi if you dont want your hair burned !!!!!!!!!!!!!! lasts forever!i use the chi everyday and it works great! also, i've had it for 4 whole years! no joke! for 4 years i have never had a single problem with it! i recommend this straightener to anyone! not worth the moneyyes, chi is a magnificent flat iron. heats up fast, straightens wonderfully... but my sixth turbo in 5 years just broke. same problem, cord shorts out. i've spent 1100 dollars on chi irons and will not spend a single dime on another one. the best everI love my straightener! I've tried about 20 others- that's no exxageration- but this works the best. It makes my hair smooth and silky, and perfectly straight- in 15 minutes!!!!!
